Hi I’m Monica!

I picked up a camera when I was twelve, drawn to the idea of capturing stories I had only read about in books. Growing up in the city, I spent countless hours at Barnes and Noble thumbing through adventure novels, books about the midwest, and surf magazines - imagining distant landscapes and unfamiliar ways of life. That curiosity eventually led me to explore the world with my camera, focusing on travel, surf, and adventure photography.

Over time, my lens shifted towards people - their presence, expression, and the environments they inhabit. Today my work leans into portrait and editorial photography, but that same spirit of storytelling and exploration still drives everything I create.
